Motorola launches MOTOPURE H12 Bluetooth headset

As we'd heard hinted at in the past, Motorola has unveiled its new and glitzy MOTOPURE -- these names are getting so old -- H12 Bluetooth headset. Featuring Moto's CrystalTalk dual microphone noise cancellation, diamond cut metal housing, and 5.5 hours talk and 200 hours standby time, if the price's right, it'll likely find its way into ears everywhere. We like that Motorola has included a charging base plus a small carrying case that doubles as both charger and protective case for when not in use. As an added kindness, they've also thrown in a few ear cushions to make your wearing experience a pleasant one. This 12 gram wonder will set you back $99 after rebate -- of the mail-in variety we're afraid -- from your local AT&T store.

it's actually an instant rebate, not mail-in

Wow... that thing is all kinds of ugly.
When is Moto going to figure out the Holy Grail of bluetooth is handsfree flexibility *without* making you look like a giant tool or a Star Trek nerd?

Went out and picked one up today just out of curiosity - great headset. Comes with two chargers (travel and desktop). Chargers are magnetic, so no need to plug anything in. You just pop the headset on the magnetic charger, and it charges. Earpiece sounds great, callers say it sounds good too. Small, light, fits great. Much better than the Jawbone I've been using for the past year.

I didn't see these online at AT&T - did you get yours in a store?

Carrying your phone is so cumbersome. Does anyone have suggestions. I don't like belt clips or holsters. The iPod arm band doesn't work well either-it falls down when i run.

Actually I just bought a product from CellKeeper at www.cellkeeper.com. Try it out. It's worked for me thus far and I carry multiple things, so it's worked great. Good luck!
